Durand Cup 2026: fechas y ciudades anfitrionas

La edición número 135 del Durand Cup comenzó el sábado 25 de julio con el derby de Kolkata entre East Bengal y Mohun Bagan. Un total de 24 equipos competirán en cinco ciudades desde el 25 de julio hasta el 23 de agosto, convirtiendo este torneo en uno de los más grandes en la historia de esta competencia, la más antigua de Asia.

Kolkata es el centro principal del torneo, con partidos en los estadios Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan y Kishore Bharati Krirangan. Esta ciudad albergará dos fases de grupos, el partido inaugural, dos cuartos de final, una semifinal y la final.

Además de Kolkata, los encuentros se extienden a Ranchi, Imphal, Guwahati y Shillong. Ranchi debuta como sede en esta edición, con partidos de fase de grupos y un cuarto de final en el estadio Birsa Munda. Imphal recibe partidos en el Khuman Lampak Stadium junto con un cuarto de final; Shillong organiza encuentros en el Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium y una semifinal; y Guwahati acoge partidos de fase de grupos en el Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

Equipos participantes en Durand Cup 2026

Los históricos campeones con 17 títulos, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, y sus rivales de siempre, East Bengal FC, que acumulan 16 títulos, lideran los grupos de Kolkata junto a Mohammedan SC, South United FC, CISF Protectors y los debutantes Baghpat FC y Samaleswari Sporting.

En Ranchi compiten Jamshedpur FC, Sporting Club Delhi e Indian Air Force, además del equipo visitante Defenders FC de Sri Lanka. En Imphal juegan TRAU FC, NEROCA FC y Indian Navy junto a los nuevos FC Raengdai, subcampeones de la I-League 3 la temporada pasada.

Shillong alberga a Shillong Lajong FC, Langsning FC, Nongkseh SS&CC y el debutante Mumbay FC. En Guwahati, el campeón defensor NorthEast United FC lidera el grupo junto a FC1, Bodoland FC y Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC.
